Khalid Ali sxb, as part of your tribute to President Ahmed Muhammad Mahamoud, could you try to find the promises he made to the people of Somaliland during the period when he was an opposition party leader, campaigning and seeking the presidency. And then let's see how they match up with his achievements as President.
For a public figures especially leaders of nations to be considered great and to be held in high esteem and honoured by the people, They're always judged by the promises they made and the promises they kept.

In my opinion Siilaanyo did keep all his promises, in the way that he got the ball rolling for everything he promised to take effect. And I think everything will come to fruition under the next president because the UAE - SL alliance is the stepping stone to prosperity for SL. The UAE military base will give our military state of the art weapons and they will train along side Saudi and UAE soldiers . The SL - UAE - Ethiopia port deal brings infrastructure for all of Somaliland. Upgrades for the Hargeisa airport. A new airport in Berbera . Now our soldiers get training , the Port workers we already had get training from DP world , the airport workers we already had get more training as more money is investment and more flights coming to Hargeisa. Are roads will be built up . Look at all the businesses that are flocking to Hargeisa. Fly Dubai will turn into Emirates airlines flights instead in a couple years . We get Air Arabia and Ethiopia airlines daily. Berbera got a $2 million project to upgrade it's water availability and healthcare.
Somalilands education system should be commended it is very strong and led by the world renowned Absaaro were some students have gone on to attend universities such as Harvard , MIT , and Carnegie Mellon... the whole step of the way it was Siilaanyo's administration placing such a importance on education. Look at the way we vote now, the way we conduct Presidential debates now.
Somaliland isn't perfect and it isn't anywhere close to where we know it could be. But Siilaanyo has tried his very best and he has shown to be fair and inclusive. He handled the Las Anod situation beautifully and also got Khatuumo to surrender to SL peacefully. We're brothers in the north

I'm not saying Siilaanyo is solely responsible for everything in my last post but let's not forget Wadani is against everything pro SL. If Siilaanyo had a Wadani like mindset he would have kept SL stagnant waiting on Zoomalia to get it's act together. Instead he acted like a true leader and one that cares for his people and did what he had to do to see his people have a better life than they did yesterday

Horta indr aad baan ku salamay
Laysma caasiyo there has been hormaar in sl I was watching a couple of programs on hctv about wax qabaadka kulmiye in awdal salel and togdheer alx they have improved the infrastructure in those to two gobol from water wells to solar energy to building new jails in saylac and burco.
Lkn the cons out weigh the pros
Silaanyo may have made state education free but the quality of teaching is a joke.
Berbera port could of brought more revenue for sl like brand new ports in different locations like saylac and lasqoray
Sirxir barar and abraar
Regional airports not being opened
