Seems Amhara Are 'Laandheer' Of Ethiopia
Or maybe TPLF was unpopular with all the other Ethiopian groups. In any event the online recation seems 95% in full support of Abiy Ahmed. Make no mistake there is a full scale chimp out in Tigray, really horrifying stuff, however it seems Ethiopia is in a situation where they could simply tell Beesha Caalamka 'F off' none of your business in no uncertain terms unlike Somalia. That said, I can't blame them too much, when Meles TPLF took power did they not do the same? War is ugly.

For all the evil the TPLF regime committed there's no justification for atrocities being done against innocent Tigrayan civilians

I agree two wrongs don't make a right. Lakin like I said War is ugly. It seems they are using TPLF past actions to justify current actions. Again I agree it doesn't make it right.

What the Amhara radicals don't understand is that when they removed Mengistu in 1991, the TPLF could have destroyed Ethiopia in the same manner how Somalia got destroyed to create an independent Tigray but decided to keep the country together and not ransack the capital Addis Ababa

Murax and BigBreak, I don't think people understand just how much Tigray robbed Ethiopia.
It is not just that TPLF sat in Addis Ababa to rule autocratically.
1. Tigray ANNEXED all, I mean every single piece of productive land surrounding historical Tigray to make the modern Ethiopian ethnl-region of "Tigray." They took huge chunks of historical Amhara (Gojam, Wallo, Shoa).
2. It then engaged in a forced "Tegeru-ization" of the ANNEXED groups. One such example is the Welkayit Amhara which even started in 1999 Amhara's coming to truth moment that "they" are an ethnic group and not "Ethiopian" as they argued against ethnic federalism. [Ethiopia equalled Amhara privilege so it was convienent of them to deny ethnicity historically]
3. Where as the previous Amhara engaged in "Neftenya" or sending settlers out to the conquered groups to control the conquered wealth where it was,Tigray engaged nin consolidation or bringing all the wealth to Tigray. This means everything was transfered to places like Makelle to be controlled by Tegaru there.
4. So when you see something like "soldiers emptying museums" even and all that, it is literally like Western soldiers confiscating all the art and history Hitler stole from Jews and captured France. Have you ever seen a trial Judge administering what happened with Hitler's loot?
5. TPLF is not acting in good faith and is completely intent on Ethnicizing the conflict---look at what they did to Mai Kadra; a part of Tigray state but Amhara-speaking. Massacred the entire town upon retreat.
My point is war is horrible and destructive and the longer this goes on, the worse it will be for everyone especially civilians, but the war in Tigray is 10X more complicated than simply TPLF being chased in mountains.
There is TPLF fighting just as strongly against the Ethiopian army, but not wearing fatigues and running around in the mountains.
There is a 25 years of wholesale organized theft and sophisticated pillaging of a 1000 years of Ethiopia's history redistributed to a modern Tigray state ballooned with annexed land and people to the tune of 1/3 of its modern borders.
It's messy alright, but it is not really a "chimp out" when you understand above.
There is a perfectly logical, rationale, even cold calculation explaining the Ethiopian military actions in Tigray

Re: Seems Amhara Are 'Laandheer' Of Ethiopia
This is also why Tigray was destined to retreat from "Ethiopia" and declare independence upon losing power.
When TPLF inserted the "any ethno state can declare independence" it wasn't for Somali region, but for Tigray.
That's why they retreated and extracted themselves so quickly from Addis Ababa upon losing control over EPRDF or the ruling coalition.
Their goal was never to fight to retain power in Addis Ababa, but to quickly disentangle from Ethiopia and float off with Tigray.
What they never imagined was that a government in Addis Ababa and the old fox in Eritrea would reconcile so quickly and even warm personally or that any government in Addis would either allow or seek Eritrean support inside Ethiopia or that Afeworki/Eritrea would ever support anything that might help or make stronger a government in Addis.
TPLF made a classic mistake.
When one is supposed to "hope for the best, plan for the worst," TPLF planned for the best, and hoped against the worst."
