There is something called "federalism, which is the officially agreed upon political system. This government is called the Federal Republic of Somalia. The transition government before it after TNG has been TFG or Transitional Federal Government.

This issue did not arose from or concern the Puntland State Military or " Puntland Dariish. It arose from Deni, a federal governer being the first Puntland President to interfere with the PSF forces of Puntland. Omar Abdirashiid Ali Sharmaarke himself said last week PSF were designed to be FEDERAL forces under the control of the Federal Government. That's why they were not into integrated to or were separate to the Puntland state military.

What ia happening is implemention of federalism and not just lipsync to it as has been Puntland's history. This is real federalism being implemented. PSF officially coming under the now ready Federal security system is a maturing of the system. Puntland's confederationalists have had the chicken come home to roost as was going to be the eventuality. We are a Federal system alright and you are going to adhere to proper checks and balances in federalism.

The real ''chickens coming home to roost'' for puntland will be when all of Mudug comes under Galmudug.

puntlan wished evils on others, only for the evil to befall on them.
Be careful for what you wish. North Mudug/CM will end up ruling the whole of Galmudug. Backing from PL etc etc.

I don't even mind more influence. :D

Sultan Order

It is not me but nearly ALL of your compatriots who fall to the extremes since nobody in Somalia truly knows how to do power sharing hence why a proper balanced application of federalism is impossible. Therefore whilst federalism in theory will not be abandoned the reality is it's application will go through two options - 1) de facto centralism or 2) de facto confederalism aka stealth separatism

From independence until now every African country outside Somalia that has officially ascribed to federalism has in reality practically functioned as a de facto unitary state

It's one thing Farmajo controlling all of Somalia's five FMS including Majertenia but it's quite another thing to reunify Somalia with Somaliland which quite frankly will never happen.

A centralised Somalia (with the same borders as the ex Italian Somalia colony) is one of the things that needs to happen for Somaliland to become a de jure officially recognised independent country

Nothing to brag about for its short duration. If it happened, it has the potential to happen again. It shouldn't have happened, and that tells you PL's gov isn't mature & responsible.

This can happen in poor countries mate. Don’t forget a insurrection last year in the capital of world power

PL will remain steadfast for her children.

Misplaced priorities are whats to blame. Deni tried to have relevance outside of Puntland, stoke tensions in the South now he is in a 1991 style battle for a town inhabited by one clan. Unbelievable. Let’s see how much for election, blah blah nonsense

Puntland lost the only thing it had going for it in these past couple of years. Security situation in puntland region is now no different from any other part of Somalia, puntland is no different than any other maamul goboleed
