Why do the Dhulbahante Dislike or Hate the Isaaq , what gives.
Could someone elucidate the reasons behind the animosity that the Dhulbahante harbor towards the Isaaq? This situation perplexes me, especially considering the historical context. In 1991, there were minimal hostilities directed towards them. For instance, the Habar Yoonis facilitated their return to Ceerigaabo following the peace conference. While there were sporadic incidents of violence, they were not comparable to the scale of conflicts that occurred in the southern part of Somalia.
Even the nine-month siege of Laascaanood, despite its severity, does not fully account for the deep-seated hatred the Dhulbahante exhibit towards the Isaaq. It is important to note that this animosity predates the siege. The Isaaq have no apparent incentive to harm the Dhulbahante in their own territory, leading me to question whether some nefarious influences are at play.
What, then, motivates such profound enmity? Is it an ingrained pathological hatred stemming from historical conflicts such as the Caynabo wars and the campaigns of the "Mad Mullah aka Sayid siigeyste "? Or is it rooted in a fear of subjugation under Isaaq dominance? Which was neither here nor there.
In recent discourse, I listened to Garaad Jaamac of the Dhulbahante, who propagated several historical inaccuracies and half truths. He claimed that Italian Somaliland was on the brink of receiving independence in 1949 but chose trusteeship out of solidarity with British Somaliland. This narrative was entirely new to me. Additionally, Garaad Jaamac asserted that June 26 is not a legitimate independence day, asserting that July 1 is the true date of independence. He further stated that he does not identify with reer woqooyinimo, the sense of Northern identity shared with the Isaaq and other northern clans. Instead, he emphasized the United Somali Party (USP) as a coalition of four clans: the Isaaq, Gadabuursi, Dhulbahante, and waskhgeli

Dhuloos and iidoors waa the proverbial "candho is baratey", so it is natural that their relationship oscillates between love and hatred.
Re: Why do the Dhulbahante Dislike or Hate the Isaaq , what gives.
They dont want to be controlled by another qabiil esp an entity that tries to impose something by force and by nefariously supporting some subclans against the other. They are also pro somalia for the most part, and see isaaqs rebellion and siding against the central gov as treason, and somaliland being a symbol of that. I dont think its something unique to isaaqs, if mj's did the same to them they would react the same way. Most qabiils dont want to feel like they're being dominated by another qabiil, its either a unitary gov they approve or a group like alshabab, its the same 68 iq zero sum thinking that has destroyed Somalia, and it has also destroyed the somaliland project.

When alshabaab killed saado cali. They accused on dahabshiil. And all their peaple believed it. The old man shocked. To the point he went lascaanod and swear 50 walaahis on the Holly quran. Waar qodaxi haday muddo marwalba Waxay lahaayeen isaaq baa noo dhigay, yagoo xitaa arkaya inaanu isaaq waxan shaqo Ku lahayn..
Dadkan 91 kahor awalba intaynu badheedh u dilno baanu weliba jaanndheer maydkooda Ku Dil ciyaari jirne. Waxa Inagu soo dhisay waa system ka somaliland. Qaabka system keenu u dhisan yahay baa ah qaab western Europe laga soo minguuriyey oo Ku salaysan social integration, qaran baynu isku Nahay bla bla. This whole qaran thing is a threat to the isaaq existence , I don't believe in it.
Of course dhulbahante hatred is related to the history. This is why it's good for the isaaqs to wake up now and take a distance from them. We should kick out those among us. And resist or attack the armed ones against us. The biggest mistake we can repeat is to reconcile with them. The more barrier we intentionally put between us the better for our future wellbeing. Since we have no plans to rejoin Somalia, this will solidify our self determination.

I disagree. They invited themselves to both somaliland creation process and the majeerteen conference. Neither majeerteen nor isaaqs never collaborated with the pro faqash clans. There was few individuals dhuloos among the SSDF or SNM . We have never planned to share any thing with the dhuloos. It came by accident, when cabdi qani went to the SNM before the fall of afwayne. Same goes to majeerteenia , they wanted to revive their old sultanates. This Harti harti thing is emposed on them by none other than the
dhuloos. Dhulbahane created this whole problem for themselves and others around them.

There is no indication that the Somaliland government supports one clan over another; it has extended support to all Dhulbahante clans equally. They have empowered those who align with their government, but this does not imply any animosity towards other clans. It is interesting that you mention the desire to avoid being controlled by another clan. If being part of Somaliland equates to being controlled by another clan, does that mean when Daahir Rayaale was leading Somaliland, everyone was under the control of a different clan? Similarly, does Ahmed Madoobe fall under the control of another clan because Culusow is his president?
The notion that one refuses to be governed by another clan is as absurd as advocating for Somaliweyn or the unity of Somalia and Somaliland solely to keep the Darood or Harti clans politically united. If one cannot share a state with Puntland, this logic seems inconsistent. Additionally, when you pay tribute to Culusow and state that Laascaanood falls under his jurisdiction, does this mean you are governed by another clan since Culusow is not your kin?
I find this sort of reasoning difficult to comprehend walahi.

All Darods including Dhulos and Wasakhgeli should be kicked out of the vast majority of Somaliland territory that is inhabited by Isaaq or Dirtheyuusuf143 wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2024 2:55 ammahor wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2024 7:23 pm They dont want to be controlled by another qabiil esp an entity that tries to impose something by force and by nefariously supporting some subclans against the other. Let's not forget that the parts of Somaliland aka ex British Protectorate that belongs to Dhulos and Wasakhs make up just under one third. The Darod parts of SSC are economically unproductive and destitute but Somaliland must never give up on our territorial integrity but we shouldn't fight Khatumo unless the government of Zoomalia uses it as cannon fodder to fight us
Re: Why do the Dhulbahante Dislike or Hate the Isaaq , what gives.
I dont think they care too much about empowering the darod position in somalia, they just dont want to be part of somaliland. And yes paying tribute to a gov that is seen as representative of all the somalis in somalia and xamar being the accepted capital is seen as preferable over being subordinate in a somaliland/puntland state.Khalid Ali wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2024 3:02 ammahor wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2024 7:23 pm They dont want to be controlled by another qabiil esp an entity that tries to impose something by force and by nefariously supporting some subclans against the other. Re: Why do the Dhulbahante Dislike or Hate the Isaaq , what gives.
The so-called Somali Federal Government (SFG) state is, in essence, an Abgaal regional administration masquerading as a national government. Though it claims to represent the entire nation, it is in reality a mere clan enclave. Thus, it raises the question: why should one pay tribute to a distant clan rather than supporting one's own? It is understandable that you do not wish to be under Isaaq dominance, fearing insignificance and subjugation. However, petitioning Ulusow for regional state recognition is equally absurd and a waste of time. He will never consent to the establishment of another Darood state, as this would give the Darood an advantage over the Hawiye.mahor wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2024 5:29 pmI dont think they care too much about empowering the darod position in somalia, they just dont want to be part of somaliland. The Hawiye's interest in Khatumo is not driven by a genuine desire to see another Darood state flourish. Instead, they view it as a tool to counter the so-called pirate enclave and to potentially hinder Somaliland's aspirations for international recognition. While Khatumo may seem useful to the Hawiye now, they can just as easily abandon it when it no longer serves their interests.
The situation places Khatumo in a precarious position. They have control of Las Anod, but the question remains whether they can maintain it and survive economically. This is a complex issue that warrants further discussion.

The Dhulbahante nation has decided to go it alone.
Hate doesn't come into it. We believe our legitimate aspirations are best served by the creation of a Dhulbahante federal state aka Khaatumo.
Whether or not we succeed only time will tell.

Focus on your deteriorating economy and political crises. You don't have time and resources to make trouble against us.
