Kismaayio has never been a Marahan city in fact as late as 1999 Harti troops managed to capture the city under General Morgan. Does that sound like an exclusive Marehan city ? it was historically a city that belonged to Somali Bantus, Galjeecel, Rahnweyn, it was in the late 18 century the Absame and Harti began to arrive in the city and the Marehan came later.
