....what do you know about Democracy?....

Post by biko »

i realy dont think none of you can realy appreciate the simple beauty of democracy. what a blessing and a pricious gift it is to have such thing.
democracy is in fact so complex yet so simple it explain why it moves so mysteriously; almost God-like.

take palestine for example: despite the fact that the palestinian people have demonstrated their ability to organize and take part in a fair and just election, and despit people voicing their choice of leadership and who they most trusted with the affairs of their wretched lives; they still dont seem to have fully grasped the whole concept of democracy and freedom.

for a people who have been held prisoners in their own land and persecuted for decades, its an insult and a slap on the face of every decent human being for palestinian to have made such grave error of judgement with their choice of leadership. yes the election was fair and people voted as they wish; and yes it was legal and democratic in every sense. but make no mistake, there is zero tolerance on those who deviate from the script and there is no reward for disobedience.

now since Hamas have many times in the past showed their unwillingness to stick to the rules and made it clear that will not jump through the designated hoops that will lead them to their goal; i dont think anyone should be foolish enough to assume their victory has any merite. to put it plainly, the palestinian people's aspiration for a peaceful life remain unchanged all thanks to their unreasonable thinking and their tendency to always overlook the small print and crucial points.

but the sadest thing about this whole palestinian issue is, no matter how much help they receive and not to mention all the time and effort waisted to shape their lives, their thinking, their future, their country and their desteny, this is one nation who have no interest at joining the human race. this is one nation who yet again demonstrated their blatant disregard to what we hold dear to our heart (democracy, freedom and justice) by following their heart instead of their head and voted Hamas.

so in order to stay true to the good name of democracy and justice, one must agree that palestinian people are still unwilling to toe the line, and therefore the only solution is to boycott them untill hamas relinquish their position as well as their dangerouse weapon and give full apology for testing our patience.

FREEDOM, LIBERTY AND JUCTICE!....

Democracy is a beautiful thing, if you are part of the elite or elected official. Otherwise, there is not much difference between it and Anarchy.

What happened in Palestine was amazing though. Mr. Dubya get a spoonful of "careful of what you wish for." Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
