I'm not sure what constitudes as "mormal" somali.
Would you defend your sibling if he/she became a kafir?

I would stand by them and defend them against any one whom oppressing them. What between them and God is between them and God. If God wanted them harm, he would do the job and would not need me. I worry so much for our (Muslims) weakness than I worry for God. God is a big guy; He can take care of his business. What I worry is not people’s faith but the ‘justice’ it self. Abi Talib stood by the Prophet though he did not convert (at least Sunni’s point of views. Shia says he was a Muslim and was doing Taqiya for sake of the message).
Brotherhood and parenthood is just for this life and we have to advice, help each other. Isn’t bad idea to stand by them if they are right. After all you defending the justice and not the person him or herself but his/her position, whatever he or she is right regardless of their faith.
