Zack, there is a small number of Mareexaans in Gaalkacyo (not worthy of mentioning), but more due to the fact that Gaalkacyo is the capital of the Reer Mudug and Central Somalia at large, than anything else. Their deegaans are far away from Gaalkacyo, so I don't really know what they're talking about. Mareexaan are not Puntlanders.

They live in Gaalkacyo in peace, only Reer Biciidyahaan have a history of killing and robbing innocent Mareexaan civilians in Gaalkacyo on several occasions. Nobody else has problems with the local Mareexaan.

Agree with the trivial differences. Also being a reformed Ogadeen despiser, I have come to realize that Ogadeen will have a massive role in any Jubbaland administration regardless of their post civil war Darood treachery. These guys settle about 60% at least of the countryside of Jubboinka. In addition they will make up large parts of the defense forces to help the forces to keep the security of the region.

I was talking about middle/Lower Jubba not Upper Jubba (Gedo). I was thinking about Absame-Awliyahan degaans, Afmadhow, saakow, Buaale, Dhoobley in middle Jubba, and also of Absame-Maqaabul degaans in deeps southern Jubbaland like Buurabo, Raskamboni etc. Infact I even remember Abdirashid Xiddig campaigning near buugaabo for Jubbaland. However 60% might have been an exxageration even for middle/Lower jubba.

I'd like to see that happen, even though that's impossible to even imagine. How can ''Majerteen guys'' lead the rest of Somalia??...I mean they aren't even (------ ------) to be considered as ''leaders''. It's just another figment of Majerteen imagination.
