6. Women’s Rights: We support women’s agency and self-determination in every aspect of their lives. We believe in women’s full participation in society at every level. We affirm our commitment to reproductive justice and empowering women to make healthy decisions regarding their bodies, sexuality and reproduction.

7. LGBTQ Rights: We endorse the human and civil rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer (LGBTIQ) individuals. We support full equality and inclusion of all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, in society and in the Muslim community. We affirm our commitment to ending discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

8. Critical Analysis and Interpretation: We call for critical engagement with Islamic scripture, traditional jurisprudence, and current Muslim discourses. We believe that critical thinking is essential to spiritual development. We promote interpretations that reflect basic Qur'anic principles of tolerance, inclusiveness, mercy, compassion, and fairness.

9. Compassion: We affirm that justice and compassion should be the guiding principles for all aspects of human conduct. We repudiate militarism and violence, whether on an individual, organizational, or national level.

10. Diversity: We embrace religious pluralism and the diversity of inspirations that motivate people to embrace social justice. We believe that one's religion is not the exclusive source of truth. As such, we will engage with a diversity of philosophical and spiritual traditions in pursuit of a more just, peaceful and sustainable world.

MSA across the nation are embracing the progressive Muslim movement. A few have resisted, but they come in line when their funding and privileges are targeted for being intolerant.

Lamgoodle, I dont consider "Oh allah u were wrong about few things u said in the 7th century but we still believe in u buddy o'pal" muslims, MUSLIMS. They clearly have an agenda that transcends faith and to accept them you will also have to accept reformed quran where hundreds of verses are thrown out, you will have to accept praying behind a homosexual imam, a butch lesbian looking chick imam etc. It's baby steps now but the goal is liberalizing and making our religion into a complete joke. Of-course It won't effect them because they never believed in the first place, it will effect the younger generation who will also add few things of their own due to their lifestyle.

I think this movement has a very brilliant future ahead of it. They should expand their initials numbers by growing and expanding throughout all the universities in the United States and western world. Universities are where the most intelligent members of society can be found as a collective, and research indicates the intelligence is correlated with liberalism. The afghan farmer may be outraged at the idea of his wife being equal to him, but the university educated student and professor will readily embrace such an idea. Most MSAs should be very friendly towards the progressive Muslim movement, and those who aren’t are few in number and can easily be dealt with. If a MSA refuses to embrace the tolerate ideals of the progressive movement, it’s very easy and straightforward to have their funding pulled and privileges revoked. Student governments are a very sympathetic audience towards liberal movements, and the very idea of a MSA refusing to embrace the fundamental rights promoted by the PMM should see a cry of outrage come from all corners of the campus. Then I propose that they seek out a wealthy benefactor who is of liberal religious stance, someone like Al-Waleed bin Talal. I’m sure Mr. Talal would be very hospitable to the idea, from what I have seen on television he is a very reasonable man. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind the adoring press he’d receive from the liberal media for promoting such tolerance. If he donated say 100-200 million dollars, that would be enough to establish Islamic centers and mosques of the PMM in all the major cities. I can imagine that the educated Muslims professionals who live in these areas and who graduated from universities where they were pounded with liberal though for 4 years would be very happy to attend the progressive mosques, which would be more in touch with contemporary society in contrast to the other mosques lead by medieval men teleported through time from such places as Saudi Arabia. Gradually they’d start to donate money and the movement could eventually become self sufficient financially, until reaching that level I’m sure the U.S government and Mr. Talal will love to bankroll. Eventually the movement could spread to countries such as Turkey, Malayasia, UAE, etc etc and establish a firm foothold in the better off, more educated centers of cosmopolitan Islam.

This is my vision for the future. They should appoint me President.

Ahmediya sect was created with the blessings of the British empire, they wanted docile muslims and they paid an atheist educated indian to go around misguiding poor people with a little help (Money). Now this progressive muslim movement is not Ahmediya per se but it's 100% more dangerous because they have a bigger agenda at hand and of course a large susceptible audience mainly the impressionable college youths who have been stuffed with liberal teachings since passing English 101. Some of their points on that website makes sense like stating social problems in the Muslim world and what not but those points are just fishing baits to lure and corrupt as many people as possible.
