You know none of you have said the same two things with regards to joining Somalia. Now I am just confused.

Why are people talking nonsense Ogadenia was never part of Somalia yes the Somali army fought for the liberation of that country but it failed. which resulted the collapse of the Somali state. Ever since the people of that region are fighting for self determination i don't see any problem with the ogaden name. the brits called it the Ogaden country in the late 1800s. the region is fighting for independence to be free from the Ethiopian rule and every Somali who wants the region to be free can join the ONLF and support halgan if not with his life he can support it financially. If not he can shut the fuck up and stop crying there are men and woman there fighting for a noble cause and people here online are worried about a simple name.

BV the Ogaden plight is something somalis have reduced to why is the name Ogadenia, why is the rebel group called ONLF.

Because if really the Ethiopians are oppressing all somalis irregardless of their clan I guess each clan would create their own rebel group just like there are a myriad of states in Somalia. If there was other Somali rebel groups fighting along liberating the land they claim to live then people would argue that lets unit the rebel groups under one umbrella and fight under one name and region that represents us.

By the way in Ethiopia there are many rebel groups from EPPF(Amhara), OLF, Gambela liberation front , Afar liberation front etc. Yet the ONLF did not put down their weapons and claim we need to get a concession from OLF or EPPF.

What I see is these statements are only hollow and have no value nor room for discourse. The plight is not Plato and Aristotle kind of Argument where hypothesis are drawn and later discarded having no sympathy or empathy for those affected.

Do you agree with me if the land was a mountain of gold somali clans will not be concerned with the name but every one will try to scoop as much gold as possible. But when hardhsip and struggle is in question everyone brings the lamest excuse to hide the qabyaladnimo iyo weakness.

One thing that i never understood is people bicker about a name yet they do not want to achieve anything yet they continue to wine and wine about a name so what if it is called Ogaden, there is a whole country in Arabia named after a single man called Mr Saud .and people are bitching about a land that is under occupation which in reality they do not want to see it as an independent country. so what if its named after the largest tribe living there will that mean others will not have rights to live there. I don't understand the logic behind discussing a name . Xumaan igama aheyn these were genuine questions. Some people may chat shit but I am not one of them. With arguments I have read, especially the not joining Somalia bit then it makes sense to keep the Ogaden name.
