Wallahi I have ALWAYS doubted he is Dhulbahante though he has subsisted for so long one would have to question his sanity if he was falsely claiming a clan all these years. I have never met a Dhulbahante who wouldn't choose Marehan over the rest of Darood. Well maybe one guy who was raised by his Marehan-hating Ciise Maxmuud/MJ mother. That lady was notorious for collecting all the Harti money in our city to send to Morgan back in the late 90's when he was fighting with Barre Hiiraale.
She would collect money from every single Harti person in our city and even high school kids if they were MJ ans working and right before she sent the money to Morgan, she would come to the biggest Mareexaan restaurant and dump it all on a table so Mareexaan could see how much she collected this time
She was a widow and ironically enough in 2007, a Marexaan guy became her second husband. An even bigger irony was he wasn't just any random Mareexaan but a former SNF leader who was a parliamentarian in the transitional governments and a guy who helped remove Morgan from Kismaayo.
