Re: Official NBA Playoffs Thread
the Miami game was a thrill, I wanted LeBron to make it so we could shut all the haters down, and put Granger on his spot. I wonder what Lance Stephenson is thinking now
he woke the shid out of a giant and didnt even get a play, Stephenson who? but we can all see it, in the long run the Heat are toast. they dont have the right cards to close the deal and win this championship. For an 8 point win, Haslem was decisive and pitched in when it mattered the most.

Re: Official NBA Playoffs Thread
What Lebron did today was historic...40 points, 18 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks on 52% shooting. That's extremely difficult to do even in 2K12 with 48 minute quarters and the CPU on rookie. We're watching an all-time great here, probably a top 3 talent of all-time. The scary part though? They needed that from him PLUS D-Wade having an MVP performance himself with 30 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks and a steal on 57% shooting....all that from them and they barely hung on for the win (the game was even closer than the 8-point final spread). They might very well beat Indiana, but nobody can sustain this kind production game in and game out, and they'll both need to be in All-NBA form to make it even out of this series, let alone the East, since their third option is not even reliable to score double digits on a nightly basis. Bosh's value is showing more and more, and this team has no chance to win a ring without him.
Truth be told tho, I dunno how much chance any team has with San Antonio playing the way they are. They've lost only TWICE in their last 31 games....how is anybody supposed to beat them 4 times outta 7? Barring a major injury, the Spurs are the 2012 NBA champions and I don't think it's even close.

Skip Bayless is a fuckin trollMurax wrote:Lebrons the most villified player in nba history. He literily has to go ape every single night for Miami to win. The guy has a HISTORIC game 40 pts 18 boards 9 assists and got wade going, yet He gets no love or respect. Ppl expect this from Him every night. Dumb ass Skip Bayless will call Him 'robin' tommorow.

Stephen A is gonna have a field day on his punk add tomorrow on First TakeAGAIN: LeBron will go as far as DWade carries him. LeBron filled boxscore: 40/18/9. Batman's 22-pt 2nd-half explosion THE KEY to survival.

LMAO, I saw it. Stephen A demolished Him. He said He gives Lebron a A and Wade a A Plus

The thing is I don't mind if someone is there for shock value or to say crazy things. But with Skip it is a emotional bitch like grudge he has against lebron. As a analyst You gotta be neutral. Now I don't like Lebron personally, and I don't like How he spurned NY, but give the guy His due. While Wade was playing like absolute shit it was Lebron time and time again keeping the Heat from getting blown out single handidly. Then He actually got Wade going Himself. Wade really did what He was SUPPOSED to be doing for once by giving Lebron some backup and gets all this credit. For goodness sakes even Wade officially said this season "Lebrons better than me, its his team"

I'm not surprised, sometimes I have a hard time deciding whether Skip Bayless is legit trolling or actually believes in his bullshit. I think that's what he gets paid to do though...being that voice of absurdity. First Take wouldn't be as fun with him and Stephen A (another maniac himself but dude is actually hilarious
) agreeing on everything together.
In other less-than-shocking news, Stan Van Gundy and Otis Smith both got fired today by the Magic. If this is supposed to appease Dwight Howard, it's a fail cuz dude needs teammates more than he needs a coaching/front office shakeup. You know SVG had to go, after that brutally awkward press conference where he said he knows Dwight Howard is tryna get him fired, moments before Dwight himself joined the press conference unaware of what his coach just said and put his arm around him
. Still, SVG is a brilliant coach and I'm sure someone else is gonna snatch him up...I hope they don't though and he joins his brother Jeff as a broadcast analyst cuz that would be the rawest commentary

Stan Van Gundy to the Wizards

Otis Smith should have been fired a long time ago

Yungfresh,
You serious??? Damn I hope the Knicks hire Him, He's a top 4 coach in the NBA. That team had no business finishing with the 6th seed.

FAH, the Wiz are cursed bro...even their waterboys serve fresher water when they leave Washington
Murax, I agree, Dwight Howard is the best center in the league and Ryan Anderson put up some big boy averages this year, but SVG had every bit as much to do with their success. His true value to that squad will show by his absence next season.

Stan gets a lot of the credit for Ryan Anderson. He maximized what He did Well and hided His shortcomings. The team was basically a dominant big man, above average PG, and a bunch of shooters and SVG made that a top 4 seed for most of the year. He does a amazing job coaching both sides of the ball offense and defense, while most coaches just coach one side.

Bynum sounds non committed about being in LA long term
Lakers shouldn't trade Gasol until they have Bynum inked and if they cant ink him, they should trade Bynum.
Artest is crazy positive in his post game interview
