Simple economics, they are attracted to the growth potentiality and the rush to invest now so as to cash in later. Hargeisa's is overly crowded economically when it comes to small buisness, real estate ventures, importation, with very little growth opportunities at the moment.

What Somalia really needs is large concentrated capital investment for industry, that is where there is large potential, all we need is peace and security. This will happen at a faster rate in the south for many economical and political reasons. If we look at the potential economic dynamics for Somalia vs. Somaliland, Somaliland is highly disadvantaged.
