I don't know why people mock alshabaab, they showed numerous times how mature they are when it comes to politics. I remember how they sidelined one of the biggest militias in koonfuur, Raskambooni by sending them to Xamar and afterwards bullied their cousins, ahmed Madoobe's militia lol. That's simply genius.

I think Alshabaab wanted a confrontation with Hisbul Islam, they wanted that Hisbul islam would ask their fellow HG in mudug for help, that way the kids could kill two birds with one stone. The old fox outsmarted that scenario and since he surrundered he's the hero

What i don't understand is why were Hisbul islam and alshabaab beefing?

waxaan meel mu ku qoronyahay? or is it just word of mouth?. I just can't see daahir aweys succumbing to someone like Qeybdiid, or crying to HG. When has aweys ever played the HG card? Seems out of step.

Agreed that was genius,time and time again they proofed to be politically superior to the rest,but when you point out madoobes demise dont leave out his canoole back-packers,he did the hunting they cooked the meal
