There's plenty of people that know their qabiil but dont give a fuk.............it has no effect on them, most kids in states learn about their qabiil during high school years, I call it the "buzz" but in the UK or Europe why are they taught as young as 4-7?.

Dude horta what are you from sacad?? Is there any sacad here who is reer-jalaf?

Honestly, it good to let them know now. I learned qabil in a negative way, I never really cared for Somalis, or tried to learn the language let alone qabil, lakiin thnx to this lelkase and dhulbahante "wadaads" and their ill words towards me I was forced to learn qabil and start looking through the lenses of qabil.
Whats the best way to do it ?

I am tired of kids who take the whole qabiil thing and run around boasting about it as if they were descendants of the Royal House of Windsor.

I plan to teach my lil nephews their qabiil abtiriis but want to do it in a constructive manner.
just teach them their abtiris and clan structure, but leave out clan 'history' - i.e. who their clans historical enemies are, how many battles they've won etc. Smile

walaahi i'm confused by that too..i found out about my qabil in highschool, but it seems like the kids in the u.k. and the rest of europe are taught this stuff at a much earlier age. they rep. it like it's a gang. Shocked

All u gotta do is register a user name for them here at SNET, and bring'em to the general section. It worked out just perfect for Sadaam who didn't know Xasan from Xuseen eight months ago when his uncle Advo brought him here. And look at him now, he'll tell u the qabiil of the driver when Siyaad got into the accident in the mid 80's.

i consider my self somali and i'm not qabilist. Prophet warned us from 3asabiyah. qabil is something you've no choice just like you cannot choose your skin colour or your parents, but you have choice to be not qabilist.
