sis there is nothing to worry about walahi, så længe vi har religious frihed, bliver de også nødt til at respektere religionerne :D og derfor kan og skal grundloven kun ændres, hvis der er massiv opbakning i befolkningen til det :D
Funny wallahi, the truth is u can't force them to do so, u know they don't normaly respect our religion. U live there, u should know by now, that's just the way things are in Denmark.....Don't hold your breath. Selv om du bor der er du nød til å godta det, sånn er det bare.....
hmm i can't see the funny part! anyway back to the topic ..grundloven er det afgørende fundament for landets demokrati.. og ja så længe jeg bor dk så skal jeg underkaste mig de regler der glder her i landet og ja det er grundloven og det gøre jeg også :D og det vil sige at jeg har RET TIL AT BÆR TØRKLÆDE SÅ LANGE VI HAR RELIGIONS FRIHED her i landet!!....grundloven er den højeste lov her i landet derfor må ingen anden lov være i strid med grundloven how nicee :D ....hvis danske folke parti vil ha' at jeg smider tørklæden ja men så skal de ind og ændre de paragrafer der indeholder retten til religionsfrihed! .....simple is that og takket være grundloven og demokratiet!!

Naaima,

No disrespect but i think that you have to accept this kind of thing when you emigrate to another nation that isn't ur own. The Danes and the French are well within their right to outlaw hijab wearing females.

I want the same thing in America. If you're jewish or Christian or watever and you go to live in Saudi Arabia, you have to follow their laws whether its legal or not in ur opinion.

If western nations continue to allow these types of things then it would become a free for all. The Sikhs, Muslims, Buddhists whoever else would want the same thing. I think they're doing the right thing here, so naww ima disagree wit u on this one.

brother i agree with you but my question is why is freedom of religion limited when it comes to islam :? ..we have the freedom of religion in and we can practice what we want, with in the confines of the law..if someone doesn't believe in jesus or allah or you name it, then he or she just doesn't...no one can never force another to believe in or DO something else ......we following the law, not breaking it :D

Dude, if girls want to cover themselves, whats the problem?

Thats why America is 1000000000000 x better than Europe

because in Europe, you can do anything and everything and still be looked at as a foreigner

its completely different here

Naaima,

I don't think that's how it goes. If anything Hindus, and others suffer the same fate in western nations. No-one respects them either because those nations are run by Christians. It has nothin to do wit muslims not gettin a free pass. That is life. If I lived in a Muslim state, I'd suffer the same thing.

I agree that no one can force anyone to believe in anything, but there's laws of the land and if you emigrate to another country you have to accept its advantages and disadvantages. If that means no hijab, then no hijab it is unless you move to a muslim state where everyone follows the same culural and religious traditions.

That's exactly why America is in the state its in today. The tolerance of all these different types of cultures creating enclaves have made this situation 1000 times worse.

There isn't anything wrong wit a female covering up if she wants to but wearing hijab in western culture isn't appealing to people who arent used to it. That includes people like myself. This is not a muslim state and we shouldn't be subjected to Sikhs wearing turbans, or muslims wearing traditional attire in public. Do that in the confines of ur own homes but i dont wanna see that when I go to tha movie theater or the shopping centers.

This sin't a free for all. Do you think you can become a police officer and wear a turban as a sikh?

Naaima,

you didn't offend me at all. And to answer ur question....no I'm not. Although I'm trynna learn a lil bit more about somalis and their cultural and religious beliefs.

And "we" refers to people like myself who were born in a western nation. Its not something we're used to seeing. That was my point. It was not meant as something offensive. Hope you didn't take it that way. It ain't a personal attack.

Umnnnn...why should i look away? I was born here. Its not like its on tv and can turn it off if i don't wanna see it. I don't care what the 1st Amendent says it shouldn't be allowed.

The forefathers made a mistake and now its come back to bite us in tha butt. I think most Americans wouldn't tolerate it if we didn't have to, and that's the problem. I'm sure no-one foresaw this problem in the 21st century.

That is exactly why America is where it is today. Just take a look at some of the social issues facing this nation still and you will see my point.

p.s. I've yet to see a turban wearing law enforcement officer in TX state or even in tha DC/Maryland area when I lived there.

Dude, if you are an American, you have the constitution and the bill of rights.

You should look away because you hate it. If you hate something, then just stay away from it.

How is a Hijabi hurting you? What did she do to you?
