Gurey, you win the best Avatar pic hands down my friend.
As for the topic, somali christians were never more than a handful,
mostly in the south due to missionaries raising abandoned kids.
Also, in Lego town close to Muqdisho, The missionary who was
killed in Muqdisho built an entire town for the minority clans who
hunted for a living and who had no solid religious background to begin with.
He gave each family a cow to milk and a small house. In our area,
Boondheere, we used to see young men racing in the streets
with their motorcycles and each one having a girl on the backseat, it was
getting fashionable to register at the church and get paid for
attending service, and be on a waiting list to leave the country. It was
all for the money and for the opportunity. Anyone with a grain of intellect
who uses brain can see there is no substance in christian beliefs. Any
somali who was a christian was raised by the missionaries and knew no
better, and for those who are said to have apostated now are doing it
for the material gain. In fact, if western countries docked ships on somali
beaches and notified somalis a ticket to the west is conversion, somalis
would leave islam en masse. There is surely nothing to hold back people
who worship their clan. Kuwan xataa inta wax kusoo qoro diin fiican ma
heestaan, last time I checked here they were in support of Xabashi troops
massacring other somali clans. Somalis are the weakest when it comes to
faith anyway, so spare me the false tears. We are destined to be losers.
