I lived to see both my grandparents and great grandad from my fathers side.

My moms parents live in Montreal and have done so for the past 23 years
while my fathers parents stayed with us and my paternal grandfather died this past year and we took his body all the way to Dilla Borame and my paternal grandmother is still here with us and taking care of us.

Me having Grandparents live in our house one thing i figured out at a young age was i could get away with lots of stuff and did so proudly. My parents who could never hit me cause i would run to my grandparents and than also during Eid times damn they would shower u with money. Biggest beef with my grandparents is they try to feed you food and milk every single day, its like they belive u havent grown up even if did.

U get away with everything and they never tell on you lol and no one can touch you when they are around, i also like to listen to their stories of things that happened in the past my maternal grandmother lives with us and i sometimes cry thinking about life with out her.

My Paternal Granparents both passed when my Dad was very young. My maternal Grandmother passed in '97, and my Grandfather stayed with us for a little while when I was very young, and I barely got to see him because he would always be reading Quran, and I'd be more interested in playing video games.


It must be very nice having your Grandparents around though.
