comparing somaliland to ogadenia is like comparing worms and elephants. dangirl gave you the reasons. most somalis in ogadenia voted to be ethiopian than to be an ogaden republic which they considered to be worse than a worm republic. somalilanders are mostly united. they will succeed if more money would be invested educating the young somalilanders. ogadens are and will always be the lost tribe of africa=african gypsies.

Actaully it was a 30 year armed struggle. Nothing that was just randomly thought at the mist of the collapse. They seen a advantage they grabed it, who couldnt?. Did somaliland not do the same thing also in '91?
