Apostates can only be executed in a country with shariah law. Only the govt can do the execution,no one else.

And to Allah we give our thanks..

Allah knows best but the story was written by someone who thinks abandoning Hijab is kufr. an ignorant reporter or "opinion former" cooked up the story in the office.
Most of the pervez or asian fathers who are ignorant of the diin would be busy selling pork, alcohol and decorating their shops for christmas. They have no time for enforcing hijab.

This story is a lie.

Some of these Muslims are selling alcohol, lottery tickets and pornography in corner stores and then expecting their daughters to wear hijab.
exactly!

if I was in his position, I wouldn't do anything. Do we know she denounced Islam? I don't think so, she probably was never taught it correctly to begin with.

She has to wear hijab for the sake of Allah, not her father or brother.

Insha allah, you just have to hope and make duca that she will come around to that, but whats seriously hurting Muslim communities is that people aren't teaching their kids Islam
It has nothing to do with people teaching their children islam. Some of the worst kids are those who come from strict households who have been bombarded with Islam since they were children and once they grow up and become independent they throw it out the window. Islam overload is just as much a problem as lack of teaching Islam.
thats the thing, you can't force people into Islam!

all you have to do is present it to the kids and bring them up the best way, and they have to know why they are Muslims above all else

Islam isn't just any sort of religion

This story is about a white man's opinion of Islam.
it did not take place.
They believe muslims are secretive and live together generation after generation.
brothers/sisters in Canada can check if the address exists.
it doesn't even make sense. How can some one so ignorant of Islam(the father) love and enforce Islam?
They wish muslim youth to throw away the hijab and integrate but the parents are holding them back.

There wasn't much detail in the original article, but she was well on her way to doing more than just not wearing hijaab ? Should he have killed her ? No, but it's easy to see why he reacted the way he did, when you listen to her "friends'" comments. Using words like "normal". Are they telling us a girl can't be beautiful, and or normal, if she wears hijaab ? It's PAINFULLY OBVIOUS, that she was falling under the influence of her kufaar friends, and her poor, poor father reacted in the only way he had been conditioned to react.

Surely you know the answer to that ?

Niya

I agree, but as I implied in my above post, it has nothing to do with being Islamically just, and everything to do with his culture and upbringing. And THAT is where the confusion amongst Westerner's lies. They're unable to differentiate between a cultural practise, and religious edict.

Honor Killings are haram

“Whoso slayeth a believer of set purpose, his reward is Hell for ever. Allah is wroth against him and He hath cursed him and prepared for him an awful doom.” (An-Nisa’ Surah 4: 93)

Mike, I'm glad you cited culture, cause thats what it is...
