Re: Investing in Dubai and UAE-Purchasing Property
You could not buy property in Dubai and Abudhabi the 2 biggest emirates till 2003 for dubai and 2005 for Abudhabi.
Sharjah has always allowed sale of land to anyone, and i know many somalis that have owned thier own homes from the 80's.

Cabdullah there are only 2 somali families that own land in that area.
loool
its gonna be easy to track you down if you are telling the truth..
dude, you are selling yourself short, today if its in the Jumerieah area the land alone is worth 2 million dirhams, at least.. its the most expensive sqaure meter in the Middle east.[/quote]
indeed somalis are scarce here,
now it might be expensive, but 17 years ago it was dirt cheap, the whole area was deserted when we first moved in, now its fully build all around us
the neighborhood is mostly made out of rich turks and iranians, whites (mostly brits) and few emiratis

Re: Investing in Dubai and UAE-Purchasing Property
if you guys are searching for real invest opportunities the UAE is an already matured economy and will not boom that much, investing in emerging markets like nigeria, india, angola, morocco etc is currently much more profitable

A place where you're lightly regarded isn't a place to invest in long term. However for business purposes I can understand people living there.

Re: Investing in Dubai and UAE-Purchasing Property
Who cares about Arabs if you can get wealthy off their land then fock em. Murax I wouldnt live their just invest. All non-whites face massive discrimanation from the emirates, UAE should be a stopping point not a place to live long term.
