Nobleman,
We don't need a tax. If there is peace, Somalis can achieve anything. Our lands would develop rapid since we are resourceful people.
In Somalia, history has shown Government does more harm than good when it comes to development projects. Let Somalis do it themselves.

Defiantly true, its about the diaspora having a strong connection to the development of the homeland. So there's a entitlement to all Eritreans to enjoy the fruits of success and times of hardship, majority of deki-Eris NEVER turn a blind eye to the developments back home.

Abdiwahab, unfortunately we cannot achieve lasting peace without a government. Without a government to punish armed 12 year old moryaans, peace will never become a reality in Somalia.

Qansa,
I agree. Yet it is easy to capture the 12 year old mooryaan unlike the major ones who don suits and go overseas stating they are our representatives.
As for a government being formed, it is possible if there is NO FOREIGN interference & the meetings are held inside Somalia.
No government would be perfect but as long as it is generally acceptable and there is AGREEMENT a new one would be formed after general elections every 5 years, things will work out well.

Eritreans dont only send money in forms of 2.5 tax, they send money for families (of course), but also very important is the MARTYRS Trust Fund, were money is sent on a monthly basis to families who lost a son or daughter in the struggle for independence and recent war. I know many families/persons who contribute to all three for years now. Bottom line its just a matter of duty!
