Yes, it's the media. The media (Hollywood movies, TV, commercials, magazines, etc) advertise and sell gaalos as the best quality product. The reality is, gaalos are just about average, like other people. Most gaalo women aren't even naturally beautiful as they use beautifying products, cosmetic surgery, etc to enhance their appeal. There are some people whom it's almost impossible for the media to influence them; I'm one of them. Never did a commercial influence me to buy the product it was advertising. I don't find cosmetically-enhanced gaalos appealing.

there is beauty in every race and familiarity breeds attraction.

now it is rare to find natural beauty, unaided by cosmetics
i hate cosmetics and i can say that some of the most beautifull women
i have seen were not wearing makeup and were even wearing hijab
and this was back home in somalia/somaliland.

I actually think it's the opposite. Somalis have so much pride to be with other races, u will catch them saying uuf jareertas. I think it's the enviroment and it leads people to it. In somalia and kenya, ppl look down on the them simply because they aren't somali but in the western country it's actually acceptable and its the thing to do.

I believe it depends on the persons upbringing and where they live. N u neva know who u r attracted to.
