i dont understand the AIDS bit though..why is it spreading like wild fire ..somebody better come up with a better explanation that africans are all having casual sex left right and centre!

not all africans, senegal is 0.8% probably becuase they are muslim and thier nighbours have high rates,
somalia would probably be as low, but i think the xabashi soldiers ahve had an affect.

low rates to start with + edcuation is whats keeping the rates down in the west.
in developing countries lack of education is whats the problem.

uganda had a skyrocketing hiv problem but they stoped the spread and are bringing down the rate through education.

other places where it is spreading like wild fire is india, where allot of people are worse off than many africans.

out of 1billion indians about 30-50 million live an upper middle class lifestyle similier to western europe and north america,
200 million are middle class and the rest are worse off than your african african villager.

The reason why Botswana has a high rate of AIDS is due to better health care system. For example, Uganda has a lower rate but this may be due to few hospitals and a poorer testing network.

However, Bostwana has an extensive network of clinics and hospitals that provide testing and treatment thereby allowing the government to collect more data on HIV prevalence than most African nations that have fewer clinics/hospitals for their populations.

Because, Southern Africa is:

*More gaalo
*Men rape girls because they heard that holds the key to curing the disease (no joke)

Notice the Muslim countries, especially Northern Africa, Levant, and Arabia don't have the disease as prevalent as Southern Africa

Even in West Africa there are many Muslim countries whose rates are not as high as Southern Africa.
