In this case Northeastern are been educated and civilized by private educational institutions (Mogadisho University) built by Mogadishu people after 1991.

This is the first step into rehabilitating the corrupted treacherous mindset of most Northeastern, and turning it into a sound, patriotic mindset. People from that region will no longer place their selfish clannish interest before that of the nation.

Give it a time and you will see that thanks to the work of private southern educational institutions like Mogadishu University in Northeastern region people like Costa, Shilling, Cawar etc etc would not utter humiliating things like ''Thank you Ethiopia, Thank god Ethiopia, I love Meles Zenawi''.

Why are you speaking in cliches? If you are referring Puntland people as treacherous then, may I remind you that those people in Puntland are just like any other people in any part of Somalia. They don't have the power to prevent what's happening to Moqdisho people. It's sad state of affairs to accuse them of treachery while they don't even know what's going on for crying out loud?

Grow up from animosity and hatred, as what we are suffering from is not enough

On December 25, Sudan's Al-Neeylain University opened a branch in Somalia. Funded by the Sudanese government, the university already teaches 4,000 Somali students at the main campus in Khartoum and plans to serve thousands more in Mogadishu, said Tarikh Ahmed, the Sudanese ambassador.

In 2003, Somali doctors and former university professors restarted Banadir University's medical school with 22 students. Half of them are women -- a remarkably high percentage for a male-dominated society.

Professor Salad Farah Gutaleh, the dean of the faculty, said students would get six years of training.

The medical school was desperately needed because Somalia has only 250 doctors, compared with 960 in 1991. Nearly half of those remaining are in the capital.
