Midgaans are outcast for many reason well hilibka bakhtigana way cuni jireen.

You should try doing a little bit of research before you make unintelligent responses...

It seems that Midgaans accepted the brand wholeheartedly and are behaving accordingly. They do things other Somali nasab-ku-sheeg would frown upon, just because they are who they are alleged to be, sad but true.

The Somali saying "Sinji waa ma guuraan" totally depicts the behaviors of this group of ppl. When you are bombarded with negative accusations from when you were not even born, you are bound to consent and believe that there is some truth in what you were/are being accused of, therefore, first comes the acceptance, followed by projection of the blame because you are lesser than others.

My distant family uncle never spoke to his daughter after she was married to Midgan brother, the girl and her midagan husband were literally outcast from the whole community and tribe. But Why?

I could never understand why people who look like us, speak like us and have the same faith like us are outcast?


Would you yourself ever marry Midgan?

Personally i often refrain from saying this term since is so deregatory and demeaning , I also have great sympathy with these fellow Somalis and is so narrow minded of us to discriminate a whole clan simply because their ancestor was starving so he ate a dead ostrich but we do it because it makes us feel superior or some kind of kings and queens..My own family like the majority of Somalis puke when they hear the term "Midgaan", i've had countless heated debate with them but they convinced they're right I once used to be in the same class with a bloke from this clan, ignorance is a bliss sometimes to make a long story short we had this end of semister exam so we were studing in the library and after we finished studying he dropped me home and as common coutesy i told him to inside for few minutes for a drink (tea/juice etc) and after he left my mother comes and says who was here i told her so and so she almost had a heart attack and told me how dare i bring the midgan into the house and she ordered me to throw away the tea cups he drank with so many Somalis consider them as Sub-human and have pyschologically and physically tortured them.
