Shirib there are numerous verses in the Qur'an that talk about people leaving Islam...but nowhere absolutely nowhere is an earthly punishment stipulated.

you need to clarify who you are talking about original christians, or murtadeen. there is a huge difference, the christian man that is raised a christian then thats his religion. laakin the man that changes his religion, in the saheeheyn it says he should be killed. And the laws of the murtadeen are part of shar'iah and i dont care if someone brings me articles from some modernists like badawi etc.
