I for one support Puntland to be separate from Somalia, so if they fight, they could invite Ethiopia to themselves and all the foriegn soldiers they want to Puntland!
Plus they could elect Abdullahi Yusuf for a hundred years if they like it too, heck, give them some oil in that desert, so they could survive!

We on the other side, have the farms, two rivers, the animals and forests, the cities of Mogadishu, Baidoa, Kismayo and Beledweyn.

We will have the diversity we need to build a nation: Abgaal, Habergedir, Marexan, Ogaden, Sheikhaal, Digil iyo Mirifle, Barwaani iyo Bantu.

We got all essentials of Somali nation, and we are the bread basket of Somalia. The only thing missing will be Qaldaans and Reer-mudug!

Puntlander's also have a connection to kismaayo and other southern cities, makes it difficult for independence. In general, most people in puntland want a decentralized somali government it doesn't matter who's leading it so long it's fair, but somali southerners are like the retard kramer above, and it's almost impossible to reason and negotiate with them.

Funny how people in support of A/Y and TFG not long ago were saying that somali unity is important and that Somaliland should never be independent blah blah and now if Puntland is considering independence then that will show you that in fact they were never pro-unity and they were masquerading as pro-unity just to hide their xaasidnimo of Somaliland.
