admin, iraq in sadam's era somalis used to get all the scholarships ans special treats.
still kuwait and qatar pays for somali embassy's salarary and , somali education is free.
in qatari and kuwaiti only kuwaitis and qataris get free education and the only citizens they allow is somalis.

you know, i found out just last month that the Somali Passport is still good in some arab countries. it's a shocker considering the fact that Somalia has been the joke of the free world for 2 decades now.

being close to somalia has advantages too.

many somali business men doing well out there as business is good there unlike other so closed countries like qatar and kuwait.
as it's very hard to get permenit residental or iqaama in qatar or kuwait if you do not have job.
since somalis know all trics what they do is: they buy the iqaama from qatari for 2 years and that qatari all he needs to give you is a paper says you work for him.
