Best time I attempted to sing the national anthem was at the Somali independence day. The lady in front of me was crying and several other people.

when Somalia was about to take independancy, the Somali SYL team of 12, were told to come up with a flag within 48hrs, and they lock themselves in a room, discussing various ways and designs, until they finally adopted the United Nations flag, and added a star.

First of all you don't have a patent on Somalia, the first flag was raised in Hargeisa on June 26 something many Somalis look past in their little independence parties.
I want nothing to do with Somalia because everything comes down to qabiil, if you ask a simple question it will become a qabiil battle, examples being; wrote the anthem, who made the flag, who created the Somali written language etc.
