I hate what ifs...

but even if the government was not overthrown.... the state would have probably still collapsed some down the line... Somalia was awash with guns, tanks, ect...

america also has lots of guns owned by the civilians but they use it sensibily

we're talking Somalis here.... Americans have already gone through the building of a successful country through 200 years

thats what some professor from my uni was saying something that somalia is still going through things like the american civil war but i am sure this experience will be a experience they will never forget

1988 is when you guys had the intention and started to work towards that goal though the consequences were harsh

1988 northern was under curfew and occupied - so i dont think they could declare independence without freeing the north
