Sorry I dont know who won the war,if you see this forum,everybody says Somalia won the war.

So if somalis WON the war,I would like to see sources (somalis,americans) which prove that Somalia won the war.

Is this very dificult to achieve?

I have shown the somalis my sources(many sources),now show me yours.

I am a historian I want to know he somali view of the war,but nobody can show me any source.Why???

If Somalia won the war,you would have many sources which prove your victory.

But they only insults me,when I ask them about the war?

I want to have a serious conversation with somalis,but when I talk to them about Ogaden War,they insult me or they say non-sense like:We killed all the cuban army,cubans are coward,we defeated cubans,ethiopians and russians.

But they never show me any source,Why??

I can not understand that.

Looyaan_Junior:No tell me, I didn't know any Somali general who was defeated in the Ogaden war, obviously some cities were difficult to capture and many brave somali soldiers lost their lives but at the end they were all victorious.

I can not believe that 30 years later,there are people who thinks Somalia won the war.

The own somalis know that they lost war,but this man thinks Somalia won the war but he doesnt show any source to prove his view.

Is he a serious historian?

I have been here 3 years and nobody,nobody can give me sources which prove the Somalia victory.This is very sad.

I can not understad why somalis can not accept their defeat?

I think that is the problem here,the problem is Somalia and somalis can not accept the defeat,the situation is no easy to talk,because they really know that Somalia lost the war.

i don't know who told you that. Just stop asking a question everyone knows the answer. Particularly a question that is a touchy subject for all somalis. At least the ones with self respect.

We somalis on a man to man basis did beat the eithopians like our forefathers did. Eithopia was nothing and is nothing against us. We took over the whole of ogaden back. If it was not for traitors of russia and cuba ogaden would be free today.

So in that instance we somalis have nothing to be ashamed of. Man for man we showed the eithopians for what they are. Cowards the whole lot of them. And rest be assured luis, the people of ogaden are still fighting for their independence. And they will get it inshallah. Tyranny and oppression will catch up to you one day. The western world can support eithopia and mumble their human rights mantra all they like but their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

I dont want to insult Somalia but this man told me that your conutry won the war,without proofs.
