Actual cost is $675. $600 for the N-400 and $75 for biometrics.

Who said it takes 10 or 7 years to get the passport?
You have to be in the country 5 years to become US citizen and if your spouse is US citizen it take 3 years. U can start and send your papers 6 months early.
As soon as u become citizen u can go to the post office and apply passport
