Those of you who were born in somalia were you guys lucky enough to be given a birth cetificate? When I say lucky enough I mean born in a hospital as some were either born in a house, aqal somali or under a tree
Anyway I presume most of y'all that had a birth certificate either lost it after fleeing from war or just lost it in the west. In my case I'm suprised I still have my one but it is in bad shape.

It's true that almost all somalis you see in the west lower their age on their passport and nearly everybody that came after 1995 are Ashraf from Shalambood.

Btw, my family also used their real age on their passport and it says from Hargeisa

You have the same birthday as one of my friends @Cumar. I don't have mine though one was created for me when I was born. My father(RIP) stored all our certificates in his storage room in Mogdishu and everything was left there when the war broke out.
