Since the location is in Bethnal Green, i doubt that 5% of the crowd will even be Walaweyns.
Why dont they just call it Reer Waqooyi week or something, surrender..........keep your dhabacyo buttocks in the midlands alright

Cali Gaab,

This is the bread and butter of Issaqs in London. Xamaris have usually taken place in the last view years. In fact, Awey Khamiis was the first non somalilander who took part in the event. He blew the house away with some amazing performances. Most of the audiences are usually xamaris. In the past I have advised the organisers to have separating seating arrangements.

This year I will be one of the co-organisers and will ensure the number of Xamaris taking place is limited. reer waqooyi people are more culturally superior than the Walaweyns so the performances should reflect this.

God Bless :sland:

Are you kidding me, majority of the attendants are Reer Waqooyi including the performers, if they want it to be a mixed event and actually reflect 'somali culture', including all somalis, they should have moved the location to West LOndon where the Somali community is more mixed compared to East London.

cali gaab,

the event should have a tribal monitoring system. this will make it very easy to know who is who. As a participant and an organiser of Somali week, the intention is that Somali week should not be a fun packed week but rather a civilising mission for certain groups like the Walaweyns.

However, I do agree the majoirty of audiences members are reer waqooyi but their numbers are dwindling.
