What are these gatherings going to achieve? Sheikh Sharif must be the biggest flop ever. A lot of people supported him but all he has down is constantly disappoint us.

Its not that people support Him really. Somalis just love show, whether its aroos, rawaayad, conferences, events etc. I know When He came to DC its always the Old folks that go to these events, dance, wave the Somali flag as if they give a shid about it, and come home.

No need for Secret Service, I think most of them got the hint when they saw the Kacaan on the screen they thought their days of anarchy were coming to a end so they left asap.....some of them even swore to give back what they stole in the motherland

Actually these old folks are the farthest from nationalistic so I don't see Why they would have misplaced optimism. There all for the most part qabliste, and this is the generation that destroyed Somalinimo with qablaayad. Like I said before though all this is fake and they just want entertainment. They need to just keep it real

It's not about nationalism. Most of them think their stay in the west is temporary because (for the most part) it wasn't their intention to come here in the first place.

I think the ones that came maybe in the mid to late '90s yea. However for the ones that came '91 (Most folks) We're talking about 18 years in America. The kids who were raised in America are like in the early to mid '20s and many Somalis have died there. I think reality is starting to set in for a lot of them, that they may die in America.
