Why would he go just because you are Somali? And with that attitude I am surprised he didn't put you in your place. Corruption is inherently part of Somali culture. I don't even like to joke about it anymore cuz its no joke. Look at Somalia.

I'm actually with Sir Lug on this one. I've seen plenty a white boy/girl get off with a warning on offenses that would've earned a person of any other race a rodney king style beating and a felony record simply because of the color of his/her skin. Why not us too?

Sir-Luggoyo wrote:as I was speeding past a yellow light. I checked his badge "M. Guled" Now, Guled is a unique Somali name so I started talking to him in Somali.

"Officer maxaan sameeyay?" Fukker answers me in English "You crossed a red light" I am like, "War casaan ma ahayne ninyahow naga daa................ by now he is fumbling with his pocket to reach for a ticket, saying "NO, it was a red light"

I was furious, but then I held myself back................. what if he wasn't Somali? Would I have acted the same? No.

Well, finally he gives me the $60 ticket, but I ain't paying I would rather go to court. And the day I go to court, I will make sure I bring as many Somalis as possible to show them what a fukker he is.

Lol... Is that really necessary?

Ok, it's wrong and most importantly dangerous to pass a red light laakiin I understand that somehow you'd expect a fellow Somali to give you 'benefit of the doubt' but hey people have got to make a living... So don’t hate the player hate the game!

Anigu hada ma qabiilkaadaan sheegay? I didn't mention your qabiil, I don't care about your qabiil and your actions are not representative of a qabiil. Anigu I talked about you as an individual who is responsible for his corruption seeking dabeecad and now you bring my qabiil when the view point represents my individual thinking. One word: reer baadiye. As for Shabaab, if I sympathize with them, then you are probably one of their financiers. Why are you so ashamed of supporting them?

95% of the times I was stopped by white cops I was let off myself with a warning. The one time I got a ticket in my life it was dismissed because I wrote an apologetic letter to the judge. Am I white or did I approach the system in a professional and respectful manner and I got the same in return?

Volt

I do understand that for the most part its all about how you interact witht he officer, one can only imagine the shit that I've gotten away with but I was also pointing that Sir Lug was not in the wrong for expecting a little leniency from a fellow skinny.

Xoog, if I was the officer I would have doubled the fine for Sir Lug not because he is a somalia but he is a corruption seeking Somali and he needs to be educated. If he spoke to me in English and calmly argued his position without trying to come across as getting brownie points for bieng Somali, I would have given him a warning. But not the way he described.

Basra, I never bring up Somalia stuff, my pride won't let me feed off of that. I played more like the college student part whose learned his lesson.

Sir Lug, I actually do know your qabiil and if you want I can send it to you in pm. Remember long time ago I told you a relative of mine met you in a Boston wedding.
