WSLF was doing fine till MSB made the Somali military join in the war.
WSLF had done a successful job of cutting down the logistical support of the Mengistu army in the Ogaden and since the entire Ethiopia was rebellious Mengistu Govt wa s on its knees and Siyad did the greatest mistake of going in(he was fooled by Saudis & Egyptians who gave him empty promises).

When he went in Mengistu agreed to forfeit all land east of Harar, Siyad Govt refused and he wanted to take over Addis.
When the Cubans and USSR got involved Siyad Forced the SNA to withdraw which created division among the SNA.
What followed is a large migration of Refugees from Ogadenia who lost their property, life and belongings.What was sad was the fact that these refugees were deliberatly settled in hostile regions that MSB govt would use them for his own personal scores against other ethnic somali groups.

dude you are one funny dude. WSLF was not created by Siyad but Siyad govt trainned them and supported them.
You also need to make a distinction between WSLF and SNA.
