Botswana, smartest country in Africa

what part of "50% of the pop lives below the poverty line" dont you get?

if half the pop lives on less than $1.25 a day and 40% of the pop has aids...how exactly does that make Botswana the smartest country in africa?

I think some of these people here have read a qaamuus that translates beign smart or successfull to mean not beign somali or not have anything to do with somalia, hence why they saying botswana to be smart.

What makes them smart is they have a free democracy, and are developing their economy. Bostwana doesn't have the drug chewing murderous lunatics of S. Somalia, or the succession hungry rebels of N. Somalia. Also, I hope you know that S. Africa has a high aids rate yet Somalis are sneaking into that country too. Not to mention that half of Botswana's population isn't dependent on foreign generosity to live.
