If he wants to reduce the deficit, he better do that.

Health Care reform without a public option

Obama´s overly zealous & pompous self rightious attitude will come back to harm him if he does not stop talking. I pray more independents are elected in November election & dems taken to the cleaners. This dude is getting more annoying with every passing day with his narcissism. The sad part is most Obamites and commoner Americans will probably vote him in for another term. The level of myopia in the American public is unbelievable. Alhamdulilah I left that country I dearly loved before. God damn american shacab.

Obama is soft in the middle. Judging by the reviews and the liberal outrage at his speech, I am glad that I skipped his mini-show. He is compromising to the point that there is no credible difference between him and the GOP. Screw Spending Freeze.

"I'm gonna go thru the Entire budget line by line, getting rid of the programs we dont need and funding those we do" is what he promised he'd do during the campaign. That's what he means by the spending freeze. Only thing that was lacking in his otherwise lackluster speech was the Public option in the HC bill. He waited an hour into the damn speech before he even talked about it. Guess people were just tired of hearing about it, but I get the feeling its now officially baked beyond recognition.

The public option has been dead for a long time. Remember 3 senators who were prepared to let all of health care die then pass that? Is Obama supposed to put magic on them and get them to say yes sir?
And honestly most of you are completely boring toads who follow whatever mood the media seems to sniff from the day. His speech was great, nothing lucklaster about it and it even moved many people from both of the aisle. Obama was speaking to the American people not the Democratic party and all of the focus groups designed for the speech gave great reviews. I myself was starting to lose faith in him and in "weakness" and not raming through the Democratic agenda but this guy is truly a transformational president. Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter were Democratic presidents, George Bush and Nixon were Republican presidents...this guy will be an American transformational president like Washington, Lincoln, FDR, and JFK. I believed it and now I know for sure.
Practically afterthing in his agenda was highlighted without making it a Democratic issue...end wars in Afghan/Iraq, pass comprehensive health care reform, design a 21 century America..specific steps to get America to start manufacturing again and a promise of doubling exports with 2 million jobs by next year, taking the TARP money of the banks and transferring it to credit for small businesses, seeing through the tax cuts he promised, a spending freeze starting next year once the economy starts functiong that will cut waste and remove the billion in deficit the stimulus added, and he even took on the Supreme Court in a very clear stand off with seperation of powers. I mean what are you boring toads yapping about?

Obama attacked McCain during the general elections for proposing a spending freeze and yet once in office proposes an spending freeze in the middle of a recession. He is being attacked by both liberals and conservatives and rightly so. He is no man of conviction and sways whatever direction public opinion tilts to.

Based on what?
There is nothing great about JFK, and in a way, Obama does resemble JFK in more ways than one.
