^ Friend's mom opened a Restaurant in VA, but had to close after a while. No business there whatsoever. Not too many Somalis to begin with, and the ones there I heard were just simply too chic to eat Somali food.
. Btw, There are a lotta non-somalis who work in the kitchen of these Somali restaurants. Cheaper labor or something I guess. Wouldn't be surprised if they went around and opened their very own Somali restaurants soon enough.
lol.

When my family had the restauraunt in DC business was okay I remember a lot of non Somalis came to qurac but after a few years had to close down cause when you're whole reer come to eat for free you will have issues.
Also with restauraunt ESP in a non Somali dominated
area like 15th st in DC you aren't gonna be very profitable without liquor
our restauraunt didn't sell any alhamdullilah but for a while it was kicking the Somali owned bar down the street called cafe nema

Its funny u say that. One of the most renowned Somali restaurants in our city for getting non-somali customers, used have this policy of serving only in the event of them asking for it. It was never on the menu, nor explicitly said. Hell they used even try to hide it from the Somalis, but it was pretty obvious.FAH1223 wrote: When my family had the restauraunt in DC business was okay I remember a lot of non Somalis came to qurac but after a few years had to close down cause when you're whole reer come to eat for free you will have issues.

lol, Yeah the whole thing was pretty gay. Soon as the rumors began, they mighta slowed it down a bit. I Honestly, I cant remember where it was, I'll have to ask again, but I'm thinking it was either Falls Church or Fairfax. From what I hear, its now closed tho, so its prolly not the one u've posted. Btw, Menu looks pretty good...pictures uuh...not so much. lol.FAH1223 wrote:

Onetime I saw a couple of people eating with their hands at a somali restrautent. The white people to the table next to them were shocked.
