yeah I agree with you

i regret teaching some of my friends somali

know if i want to say something or talk secretly to my somali folks .. they understand

I can speak Somali in a way where the Somalis beside me won't understand, it's all about how well you know the person your trying to communicate with.

True, it will take several lifetimes for a foreigner to able to understand all the different Somali dialects and lingo.

i think Samatr was implying something else.

Somali is by nature a declaratory language this enables your speech to be more open for different interpretations and thus allowing you to rid yourself of unwanted eavesdroppers when speaking to someone you know.

when my dad speak to his peers and i am standing next to him, it is slightly confusing and if it is intended to be private they can make it extremely difficult to make sense of what they say.

Big up to Af Soomaali  8-)

Xoogsade is right you can change dialects or use slang, but I was saying me and my friends use certain Somali words in a way where anyone listening in scratches their head.

The only time that's ever used in my house is when we're trying to express that someone's in the bathroom. What other meaning could it have?

Point proven. It is a way of saying there is an untrustworthy person around, a spy, or generally a person you need to watch out for to prevent divulging a secret.

You and your friend are talking about a person and they walk by or you see a suspicious person and you just slip weelka orgi baa ku jiro to let the other know.

Yes please stop...its so annoying I've had more non-Somalis speak to me in Somali in the last week than I have Somalis. Its like they think they have a connection with you because they can speak Somali yet you have never met them before.
