so they did all that just for the Nikaax whats gona happen in the wedding? repeat everything?
from the video is look like a gaal wedding, the kissing, the mixing of men and women, girl showing her body like that. all that is not allowed in our religion. that is why we are called Muslims. waa cajiib we all want to have as much fun as the galos, dress like them, immitate them but want to go to heaven!!! <-------- party pooper i know but do you ever wonder why we are different? because we are heading for different ends!!
her dress looks nnice if only it was women only. but is nikaah so it cant be women only.
anyways i can never understand why would a girl be in her own nikaax, waa ceeb, i personally would die of ceeb that day.
let the men do all the nikaah business, obviously you going to have someone to represent you that day. but to be physically there...whats the point? you gona be at your own wedding and that thing they do after seven days. forgot its name.

Lol true say. I can't imagine naagooyin sing that, sounds really evangelical
I like how they stack the shaash on their bride's head though, looks cool

I recently heard my mom saying shaash saar isn't allowed anymore 'cause it comes from pagan culture.
Anyone ever hear about Geedi Shaamboow? Apparently the shaash saar tradition came from that era.
Don't really know for sure though.

People people people
nikaax is your wedding, the reception is the party afterwards you can see it in this video for the last few minutes. I don't know why Somalis divide it up as if the nikaax is the traditional bit and the party is the actual wedding

Marriage islamically is when the nikaax is done, legally it is when you sign the papers, wearing a white dress and eating cake is just wearing a white dress and eating cake. Do that infront of the sheikh or before you sign the papers but the party has no significance in a legal context.

This is a very poor comparison in my opinion because this couple looks extremely wealthy!
I wouldn't be surprised if if their clothes/rings/accessories cost more than 100k
