I got some beautiful shikhaal cousins in jigjiga

I dont know about Sheekhal, but Sheekhaash r poor Bantus who claim the etnicity of surrounding Bantus
Around Harar they claim being Oromo of Qaallu (priestly) subclan.
Further south they claim being Somali.
The boldest among them claim being Arab of lesser extraction than the Prophet.
I always wondered why they didnot claim the Prophet;

Lately I heard that the "Somali" Sheekhash grew bolder, have even arms and claim separate clan identity
whereas those "oromo" r busy justifying how they r related to the Qaallus.

In my opinion they r remnants of ancient non-oromo and non-somali population.

shaikhaal and shekhaash are same, sheikhaash compare you oromos aka gallas , i would see you oromos look more bantus than this somali clan sheikhaash. or sheikhaal

I tend to keep things simple. Qaalluu are sheekhash, and sheekhash are somali, and somalis are many things. To be an ethnic group doesn't mean they all come from a single lineage. If the qaalluu claimed oborraa, as I think many used to assume, nobody would really say anything. It's not a serious issue. People take these things too seriously. waan fedhan haa himatan. Now you got this sakhraan all worked up.

What about GARRE are they GALLA or SOMALI? yes some GARRE speak afaan oromo and some speak af soomaali, so what are they? somaali or galla??

sheikhaal aka sheikhaas all of them speak af soomali and they are native somalis, qaallu never hear about them, they could be oromos who claim to be sheikhaash, but sheikhaals aka sheikhaas who known are pure soomaalis.

and SO CALLED BANTU, our bantu brother in somali sens we call people who have flat nose and kinkier hair, yes bantu and galla(oromo) and somali we are all black people, but this man for us is bantu

Its funny how they claim being descents of abubakar alsadiiq, they are the tallest and darkest oromos in harargee and yet claim to be from arabs.

^Demz is just Ituus bro. Qaalluu live in the vicinity of Dadar (east hararge) from my knowledge. And they're a minority there.
