What are you talking about, the ESDL is dominated by Jidwaq, Harti and Dir. If those clans were on the side of ONLF things would be very different.

The Ethiopian strategy of divide and rule and Ogaden refuse to see that they are being used as a tool to divide and rule. This is part of the problem where you say Ogaden are 85% of Somali Galbeed and Ogaden are the only clan that matters and everyone else is insignificant. How do you expect other Somali clans to react to that sort of talk? They will feel threatened by that, since if you feel that way now then what will you do if ONLF wins and takes over Somali Galbeed? That is why the ESDL exists, they prefer Meles Zenawi to ONLF.

ONLF needs to change that perception both of itself and the reality of its relationship with Jidwaq, Dir, Harti, Marehan, Isaaq etc. A new organization that can appeal to ONLF as well as the clans that make up ESDL is the only way to achieve independence. The Maxamed Ibrahim Cigaal route that Somaliland took is what Somali Galbeed needs. Ogaden needs their own Maxamed Ibrahim Cigaal.
