Similar situations has happened to a relative of mine, she said 'me no english' and then he continued speaking to her hoping she'll get him. She kept repeating, 'no english, no english,' he then left her, but her classmate called, she completely forgot about him and started chattering English with her and then when she ended her convo, he goes 'no english eh?'

But the worst ones are the ones who start their little chat-up convo's with a Salaam.. How low can you get

I remember the first time this happened to me.. I was on the bus with my brother... The bus was pretty empty and I wasn't speaking to my bro so I sat somewhere in the middle of the bus while he sat about 4 rows back.. Anyway this Somali guy came on the bus and said 'Salaam Alaykum walaal'.. I automatically replied to his salaam, thinking nothing of it.. *But in his eyes this was a go-ahead for shuukaansi*.. He then tried chatting to me.. My brother jumped from the back of the bus and went ballistic at him .. He obviously knew it was a chat-up line and I was totally oblivious to it

When ever we travel on the bus/tube together he now sits right next to me, even when we aint talking


But AlhamdulilAh I'm a lot wiser now..

I am proud of myself, I know I am Somali. I just don't like the culture or politics. I have my deen mashallah.
