BIG f-king DEAL... IMO what happened happened so who cares. We all know SNM played a unique and major role and were clearly a force to be reckoned with and in the end they achieved the objective they set out. Why dwell on envionmental forces that you cannot control as others can not, instead focus on what they did do and control within their power. And the peace, stability and exitance of Somaliland is testament to this.
So there is not point focusing on what could've happended or what didnt happen or what if this had/not/would/this way/that way or whatever.
Grandpa Hawiye are good people we had the same enemy we might not share the same ancestor but they are good somali people, the warlords who came after siyad bare were a product of the kacaan , Even Mr umar carte qalib gave the last shot that destroyed SNA when he in 1991 stated
Ciidanka xooga dalka Somaliyeed waxan ugu baaqaya inay hubkooda ku wareejiyaan jabhada hubeysan SNM USC woqoyi ila koonfur it was on bbc somali 1991
grandpakhalif wrote:How is caydiid cali mahdi abgaal vs hg war product of kacaan? its product of Somali naago movement who whispered satanic thoughts to hawiye
Because of the oppression for 21 years. the atrocities commited against the hawiye etc the kacdoon of the hawiye is a product of the kacaan opression .

IMO if you accept and are ok with labeling yourself as faqash, knowing what the term means and refers to then... they said faqash way tegaysaaaa wala way tegaysa and they were right. If, as most people that I know do, you refuse to be labeled as and label yourself as Faqash, knowing what the term means and refers to then you would know that:
- Faqash does not refer to a specific group of people (clan) and therfore to say that these people hate a particular clan is bullshit. It only shows you know little about the meaning of the word.
-Faqash refers to the military personell and others who were attacking Somaliland and its people and its many cities, if you were not part of those people then this song does not concern you.
So (1) learn the meaning of the word first and (2) if you know the meaning don't misrepresent it to people who don't or might not.
In any case way hees aad u macaan.... FAQASH WAY TEGAYSA...HMMM..... WALEY WAY TEGAYSA.....looool.....enjoy the song people.
Siad Barre betrayed the Somali people, there is no question about that. He was a dictator and power hungry and it was his greed of power, his clenching to power that led to Somalia destruction. If you have a problem with people saving themselves then too bad.

So don't misrepresent the meaning of the word FAQASH.
The politicians that were always sincere in their endevours and wanted peace, prosperity and development for Somalis have suceeded to do that and their results are evident. The politicians or warlords who were always power-hungry, oppertunistic also have been highlighted. An exelent example of the latter being Abdulahi Yusuf (look at his history, it didn't start or end with puntland, he has always been an oppertunistic and self-oriented @:%****; those are the kind of 'leaders' and 'politicians' who deceive genuine Somalis by telling them that they are acting on their behalf in their interest for 'somalinimo' or 'Somalia'. So lets look at who is genuine and sincere and whose past and present actions and achievements support.
Where others focused on fighting or trying to take control of other lands, Somaliland(ers) focused on their own territory: (a) establishing peace (b) a government (c) law and order (d) a military and investing in (e) schools (d) hospitals.
