I dont mind not sharing my food but i wouldnt eat it if they asked to take a bite off of my food or something id rather give it to them!

You are mixing up two things;

Sharing food with someone and sharing cups/forks etc with people...You don't drink after people, anyway who wants to drink after anyone...

plenty of americans do if you guys / gals are friends they'd be like hey can i get a sip anywho when i was speaking about the food part i ment when your out in at a resturant and they order their thing and you order yours and they ask if they could taste it nooh
