"Multiculturalism has failed" is partially true. While almost all religions and ethnic groups live in one city. But going from one area to another area is like going Europe to Africa.

In fact, I was on bus #25 from city to a place I had a meeting. It was so far, even the bus ended in that area the area is outskirt of city. So, while I was on bus. First group of people to go in was mostly muslims, there was a large amount of Somalis too. Within 10 or so bus stops later, most of people left the bus. Another group of people, mostly black, came in. Again, later 10 or so bus stops later, most of people left the bus. There's a group of mostly white people going in and staying till bus meets their terminius.

I was actually surprised.

I can't speak for other minorities in the UK but the majority of somalis identify themselves as somali citizens before british, whereas in american ever immigrant is brainwashed to love america (see somalis on snet). I feel much closer to somaliland/somalia than I do to this country even if they accepted me as their own.

Scare mongering people, he really should be ashamed of himself. He doesn't sound any different from the other fascists you get in this country.

To be fair in London you have Jewish/Muslim/Hindu majority areas. Birds of a feather will flock together so in that sense there is nothing to be done about the issue. Linking that need for an identity outside being British with terrorism is just ridiculous.

Ilford is very nice place. From my view, I think it's "posh" part of London.
