Masha Allah
James,
u have to update your database: Somalis are no longer the sons and daughters of Arab Qureyshii sheekhs!
At the latest news, they r the sons and daughters of Japanese seamen who miraculously ended up on a tree/or had a spritual battle against local chiefs ...
The names of those japanese qoreeyshites sheekhs were Al sheekh al kabiir Watanabe bin hashim and Al sheekh al-aazim Shimumora bin Hashim
Thnk u james

no offense intended

just joke

many somali tribes do speak oromo language.
in the north Issaa (reer-geeddii); some Gadabursii, warra Garrii (Ghirii), sheekhaash, different Hawiye clans living with Arsis.
and the mysterious, wild and exotic nations of Boon/tuni cluster in the south somalia (or its kenya?).
further south the Garree and Degodia do speak oromo too.
In fact there are more somali clans speaking Oromo.
I think in the south both languages comes more closer.

Sometime back, I was searching for something and found that there is an ethnic group called Biyo in China and I know of that there is a tribe called Biyo-Maal in Somalia so I wondered if there was any connection...just like you here

Why does Tigray music sound like a car breaking down?
